chocolateWhen it comes to treats, we love the idea of package-free fruits, nuts, and homemade cookies. But for better or worse, most parents won't let their kids eat unprotected Halloween loot.

So to keep the ghouls grinning, stick with  delectable fair trade, organic chocolate! Try organic lollies and boo balls too. And if you're looking for non-edible treat ideas, try a handy tote bag or mini-light!

car5 Ingredients to Avoid on Halloween
junkfoodOn Halloween (and every day of the year), you need good fuel for your body. Candy is fanciful and fun, but the nutritional value is next to nil. A few little treats now and then are good for morale, but it's easy to get carried away.

Pour grape soda in your car's tank and it won't run properly. Same goes for your body. Putting the kibosh on junk is easy when you know what to avoid -- and why. Can you guess which five ingredients are no-no's? See our list.

Tote
Those plastic pumpkin pails are awfully cute, but they end up gathering dust all year long, if they manage to survive the landfill. Enter the green solution. Gorilla in the Greenhouse (our favorite Earth-conscious cartoon for kids) makes an adorable tote that kids will love to use all year long, just like their parents!

It's scary how many people act like zombies every day. Take Bob, for example. Unfortunately, he's got a lot to learn about reusable coffee mugs -- And his poor elevator etiquette makes us a bit nauseous.
