7-Grain Honey Wheat Flakes
Description: Made of healthy blend of fiber-rich whole grains.
Not exactly something you want to wake up to...
While a honey covered, multi-grain flake cereal tempts me in places I don't want to acknowledge during the daylight hours, this gem of seduction did nothing but let me down like it was the gorgeous girl I asked to the 8th grade dance.
To begin with, the whole thing was entirely too sweet. They overdid the honey quite a bit, possibly in an attempt to cover up the wholesome, healthy, organic flavor? I was hoping for a nice undertone but ending up being kicked in the mouth by the bee's goodness.
Secondly, it takes about five minutes of being soaked in liquid before it feels like you're eating anything other than thick, brittle cardboard. After five minutes it feels as though you're soggy cardboard. Not much of a transition, but something at least a little better.
The reason for two out of five stars is that while not for me, these critiquing points might be things that other people find enjoyable. It also wasn't that expensive, and the idea was really good, and I didn't throw up.
