Chocolate to die for
I worked for Scharffenberger for a while, back before they were bought by Hershey's, and I have to say, that hands-down their chocolate is the best chocolate that I've ever had. It's got these crazy fruity overtones that put you into a state of intoxication. Especially the 82%, which is my favorite, and if you're a dark chocolate fan, I highly recommend it to you. And every bar is just a little different, like fine wine. It's no surprise that Hershey's scooped Scharffenberger up, as well as Black & Gold. Mr. Scharffenberger was a champagne expert out in Boonville and he applied his wine knowledge (like length and tone) to chocolate. He got together with a doctor friend, and they started the business, never looking back, and of course now they're millionaires, because they were relentless in their pursuit of perfection. Yes, perfection. And I tell you, there's nothing like a hunk of Scharffenberger cacao fresh from the factory.
