Comments on Foster's review of American Apparel
A True Representation of American...?
To start, let me just begin by saying that I am among those that like and wear American Apparel. I own several of their shirts, mostly adorned with music artists' screens on the front. I find that the shirts fit well, are not irregularly misshapen, and, did I mention the fit? However, I also find that their clothing is a bit on the pricey side when I visit one of the stores to pick up the latest issue of Vice magazine. An employee stated that this is because of the "organic cotton". I don't know what that means, or if it is any different than "non-organic cotton". Also, I know by watching the expose' I saw on the company last year that they hire many Mexican workers, documented, I hope. I wonder though, why I never see any African-American employees. Hmmm?
