I've been using Shaklee's Basic H product since the 80's. I've found it to be an extremely versatile product. 1 quart can make up to 40-gallons of liquid cleaner. There are no toxic additives, it's biodegradable, and environmentally safe to use around children and in the garden.
Regarding Shaklee's Legal Use of Materials statement - here's a quote from the website that I believe is applicable to those of use that write reviews with no vested interest in the sale of Shaklee products: "You may download and print portions of the materials for non-commercial and informational use. Here's 12 helpful Basic-H Tips you may not know: (1) 1 tsp. Basic-H per quart of water to clean aquariums - rocks, coral and all. Rinse thoroughly. (2) Add two drops Basic-H in water when boiling eggs; they will peel easier. (2) 1-2 drops of Basic-H in pot when boiling potatoes or noodles; Basic-H keeps pot from boiling over and prevent noodles from sticking together.(3) Add I drop of Basic-H to cake batter for making a moist and fluffy cake. (4) Use 2 drops of Basic-H on a damp cloth to clean your shoes without removing wax finish; shine with a dry cloth. (5) Add 1 Tbsp of Basic-H in a 16 0z. bottle of water; an inexpensive and effective fire extinguisher to use on grease fires in the kitchen. (6) Use a small amount of Basic-H to rub on your hands before you tackle a job with dirt, paint, oil, grease, etc.; it works great as an "invisible glove"; wash up with a drop of Basic-H and water when done.
