Does the Job - Softly

I have used this for years as it is the softest of the recycled toilet paper I have ever found. Some people don't care about that, but lots do, and if you're one of the people who can't figure out why - well use your imagination!

I like the bright white color, also, and the fact that it is whitened without chlorine. It doesn't smell like perfume. Plus it is reasonably priced. However, I do go through a roll pretty fast.

I called the company and asked them why they don't put more paper on per roll. It turns out they do - they have a new double roll which has about twice the amount of paper on it (352 sheets) and it is a thicker, more premim paper. When I asked why do they even make the stuff with just 198 sheets, they said it is a standard economy size that fills a cash flow niche. Huh? Meaning for people who need to go home with toilet paper tonight, but have limited cash flow to buy bigger rolls, even if that is a more efficient way to buy, because they have to go home with milk, bread and eggs tonight, also.

Who knew?

Companies make odd rationalizations - why wouldn't they just sell a package with rolls of 352 sheets -- or better, wrap the rolls in recycled paper and sell them individually? I hate those giant plastic wrapped packages of toilet paper. Once you open it, they spill all over. And, of course, you are now responsible for sending some plastic wrap to the landfill.

Did Jenn not read my post? The 352-count double roll is more expensive because there is more paper per roll and it is a thicker paper. If you can afford it, great. If you have a cash flow crunch and still want to buy recycled paper, you buy the 192-count. The 192-count is the best seller so evidently that is what most people want. Jenn, this is why we have both Kias and Prius cars. Some may argue that in the long run the Prius makes more sense environmentally and financially, but the fact is not everyone feels they can afford to, or want to, buy one. Sheesh!

Jenn did read your post, thanks for asking.

My point is that by "filling a cash flow niche" - they are still creating more expense and waste. They could do all 352 sheet rolls of both standard and premium paper, allowing their customers to reduce the amount of plastic they put in a landfill.

Of course there are both "Prius and Kias" -- but this is more like getting half a Kia while the other folks get a Prius.
