The Brattleboro Area Farmer's market is the closest thing I've ever experienced to a small community market. The products are high quality and it serves as a community gathering space, as you always run into someone you know. The kids all play and run around together, lunch options are great and once the harvest starts to come in, it is a wonderful place to get local produce. The traffic gets a little bunched up on Western Avenue, but as the gas prices continue to increase, I expect that will be reduced as more local people use bikes to get there. ;-)
