Buffalo Exchange- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Buffalo Exchange?s motto is ?reduce, reuse, recycle?, and by the very nature of their business model, the live up to this statement. Buffalo Exchange (www.buffaloexchange.com) buys and sells used clothing at reasonable prices. Having worked at the corporate headquarters, I can also tell you that the owners heavily promote recycling in the office- including using recycled paper for business cards and Christmas cards.
At the 30 store locations, Buffalo Exchange runs a ?tokens for bags? program, where, in lieu of a plastic bag, one can get a token worth the price of the bag to drop in one of three boxes that represent local charities. At the end of the quarter, the contents of each box are counted, and the appropriate amount of money is donated. Buffalo Exchange also donates heavily to various charities, including those focusing on Hurricane Katrina, the environment and animals. They also run a yearly dollar sale on Earth Day, with all proceeds going to the Surf Rider foundation.
This is a great company to support if you believe as they do, that people should do their best to protect their habitat and to give back to their community.
