Don't Fear Kefir!
Kefir is a fermented milk drink that originated in Central Asia. It's a combination of bacteria and yeast with proteins, lipids and sugars. It kind of looks like cauliflower when it's growing, and it makes some mighty tasty drinkable yogurt style beverages. It tastes great with fruit, and it's really good for you. Like most yogurt, it's good for people who are lactose intolerant. This is a more runny kefir, but I find that the flavor is smoother, mellower, and more palatable than Lifeway. Also the container is easier to recycle.
