my first favorite nursery
This was the first real nursery I ever fell in love with when I really started gardening. They have a great selection of roses, hydrangeas, 4" transplants of veggies herbs and annuals, and a bunch of other perennial plants. Their selection of natural soil amendments is pretty good, I often buy worm castings and rose food here. I have yet to encounter someone working here that really is friendly and wants to help me so much it's overwhelming, but maybe it's because I know what I want most of the time I go? Just being in this nursery makes me happy though, they have a mural and the plants are everywhere. It's easy to get lost in the surroundings even though it's on busy San Pablo in Berkeley.
