Recycled Plastic is Fantastic
Earthpak makes backpacks and bags from recycled plastic soda bottles. Their bags are good for back to school, for camping, or for any occasion. They shred plastic soda bottles and weave them into a durable thread, and then the bags are dyed in an eco-friendly method. They even treat the bags with Teflon to make them water resistant and able to withstand more everyday wear-and-tear. I have this yellow fanny pack and it's great for biking, and traveling. Since "waist bags" (aka fanny packs) have been showing up on the runways lately, I guess it makes me in style too. Oh! and it's 98% recycled plastic, which means that the only thing I can think of that's not receycled might be the zipper.
