Working with 100s of family farmers, Farm Fresh to you has been in the biz for like 30 years. They service the Bay Area and much surrounding it, even Sacramento and San Jose. They'll deliver a box of seasonal goodness to your doorstep for a great price, and you can stagger it appropriately for your situation. For example, my wife and I only needed a small box every other week. However, we are switching to another CSA box, just to mix things up a bit. It was a bit of a dry year last year, and some of the kale tasted a bit parched. The vegetables come from farmers out near Capay, north of San Francisco. CSA programs are a great thing and they save us a lot of time. My favorite thing about the CSA box is that it puts me in touch with the seasons. It's also really fun to be creative based on what we get in our box, and you can check the web ahead of time to see what you've got coming your way, which is great for planning meals!

Hey Ben - what CSA did you try after FFTY? I'm considering FFTY but it seems like the others all require pickup in a central neighborhood spot.
