No kitty odor!

I LOVE this product! We have two cats and made the switch to pine a few years ago. We scoop the poo immediately, and the urine leaves NO odor. The pellets turn into a heavier dust-type thing (that, surprisingly, tracks very little compared to clay).

If the solid wastes are scooped regularly, there is absolutely no odor coming from the litter box!

On top of that, Feline Fresh is made of pine and in the USA. It cost far less than clay, partially because it lasts SO much longer. It's very low maintenance. No scary unnecessary chemicals and no strip mining.

Also, we much prefer the pellets to the "Scoopable." We've found it lasts a lot longer and tracks less.

Who would think I could get so excited about a cat litter?!

How does Feline Fresh compare to Feline Pine? Have you ever tried any other non clay litters -- like wheat or corn based litters?

Yes, we tried corn (world's best, I believe it was) and recycled newspaper and found them to smell AWFUL. This is the only thing we've liked so far.

We had tried Feline Pine before settling on this one. I don't know for sure where Feline Pine is made, but Feline Fresh is made here in the US, which is really important to me, especially with the economy as it is and with all of the recalls that have happened over the last few years. Part of being green, is buying as local as possible.

The only complaints I've really seen are that either the cats don't go for it right away or from people who don't want to scoop the poo. We scoop the poo every day and nothing else smells at all. Urine odor is zero. Since nothing really sticks to the poo, there's no litter wasted.

My cats have never had a problem switching litter - there are 3 of them and they're fairly clean animals. I use 1 jumbo box and scoop 1-2x/day -- I found that "sWheat Scoop" still smelled awful even with 2x day scooping. I know someone with 1 cat who had the same issue; he now uses Feline Pine. I'll check out where that stuff is produced....
