We use the food waste bags for storing vegetables and especially herbs. We LOVE cilantro, but find it goes bad too quickly no matter what we tried, but these work great!
They're the only bags we use for dog waste. A lot of bags that say they're biodegradable use harmful chemicals and break down into pieces instead of biodegrading completely, but not these. (I also have a green pet supply business and these are the ONLY bags we carry).
And to answer someone's question, yes, they are GMO free.

Hi Amy - cilantro can be a problem - it only lasts 2-3 days in the fridge. I have found two ways to keep it fresh, depending on how much time I have.
1. Wash it, pick all the leaves off the stem and blot dry - put into an airtight container on a dry tea towel or paper towel.
2. Wash, shake the water off, trim the ends and put it in a glass of water in the fridge.
Have you ever tried either of those methods for fresh herbs? These also work for parsley and basil

yes, I have, but I've found that washing, picking the leaves off AND putting it in the Biobags have made it last the absolute longest of all.

If your cilantro is getting soggy fast, it could be that your store is selling you some pretty old stuff. I found that some stores have fresher cilantro (albeit not necessarily organic) where they cater to Spanish speaking folks.
Cilantro is super easy to grow -- it's practically a weed and will reseed itself (unless you collect the seeds to use as coriander seeds).

We have some baby cilantros sprouting right now! And yes, while its not organic, we do find the herbs at the Mexican grocer down the street do last longer.
Can't wait for my baby cilantros to grow up!

Arugula does great where cilantro also thrives, I've found... yum. I have some perennial self-seeding arugula and it's been going for a year now.
