Divine Vegan Cafe Food

If your pocketbook doesn't allow for frequent outings to Cafe Gratitude or Millennium, please consider Herbivore (and Cha-Ya!) as your staple "date night" restaurants.

The Herbivore in the Western Addition is really my favorite -- they have a nice back patio which is protected from the wind and just perfect for a late morning brunch. Everything they serve is vegan and they make fresh juices -- even to mix into your mimosa!

I'm a big fan of the corn cake, and their soups are really good. Don't miss the biscuits and gravy - that's delicious. There are so many good dishes there, I recommend a group outing for your first visit so you can all try a lot of different items.

Pricing is very reasonable and parking is usually not difficult. There are plenty of bus lines that go down Divisadero or Fell -- you can't go wrong with Herbivore!
