Laughing Planet, located in Eugene, and four locations in Portland, Oregon, are quirky, casual eateries with comic decor...a plastic Godzilla on the table, a 60's poster by the sofa, retro this-and-that's scattered about the tables and counters...a distraction that brings out a smile or laugh, while they're in the kitchen whipping together a no-ordinary burrito or veggie bowl. Menu item names are quirky too. You can get a great meal for under $7. Laughing Planet was voted Eugene's most Veggie-Friendly restaurant in 2005-2006; votes are being counted now for 2007. My 1* deduction is for not offering gluten-free burritos too.
