Comments on Jessica's review of Method Hand Wash
Not as friendly as you might think on first glance.
I cannot figure out what is so natural about this soap. It contains Cocamide DEA as the third ingredient, which the Environmental Working Group notes is a known to be toxic to humans. Their Skin Deep website (www.cosmeticdatabase.com) gives it a 5 out of 10 in terms of toxicity (0 being perfectly healthy to humans, 10 being the most toxic). If I had known that, I never would've bought it.
Also, I am very sensitive to smells, so I picked "sweet water," thinking it would be the most subtle of the choices. It is stronger than I would've expected.
Side note: I am, by default, anti-liquid soap. It is wasteful. It comes in plastic, whereas you can get bar soap wrapped in a nice small piece of paper. Also, from my experience, it runs out faster. I only bought this because my old pump bottle got destroyed and I needed a new one to use for my Dr. Bronner's (now that's a good soap!). I figured, why not get a pump filled with something instead of an empty one?
