To clear things up for those looking for an anti-perspirant, TOMs (Tom's of Maine...how witty that the acronym is TOM, as well. OK, so I'm a little slow!) is a deodorant which means they "mask" or neutralize odor. An anti-perspirant decreases or eliminates sweat. The latter is unhealthy. We must sweat to help rid our bodies of toxins. And as a fellow heavy sweater, I empathize w/those looking for the "cure".
The main thing is that you don't stink! For me, I had to apply this twice/day so as not to offend. I gave it a 3 because it works even though I had to reapply. My stick stated "Long Lasting"! (Long lasting, my butt!) Though I adore the lemongrass scent, it needs to smell nice in the pits, not just the stick. And sadly, this was not to be the case after about 4 hours of non-stop sweating.(What better test subject then an Arizonan with an outdoor job in the midst of a 110 degree summer?) On the up side? It's Aluminum-free which makes it better than most over the counter "pit sticks".
