A tasty packaged marinara...

This pasta sauce tastes pretty good for marinara from a jar - works for camping or a quick big pasta dinner. All but one ingredient on there are things I have in my own kitchen. That one ingredient is calcium chloride is an electrolyte used in food to provide a salty taste and to thicken things... well, I can always cook down a sauce if I need to do so. Kinda - ick.

Muir Glen Organics is committed to helping farmers grow organic tomatoes -- these thin skinned fruits are one of the most heavily pesticide sprayed crops in commercial farming. It's great that Muir Glen is supporting farmers and contributing to more sustainable farming methods for tomatoes.

I confess, though -- Rising Moon Organics pasta sauces are my convenience pasta sauce of choice. Given a tight schedule and more mouths to feed than the pricey smaller jars of Rising Moon pasta sauce can fill, I will pick a jar of Muir Glen organic pasta sauce.
