Contain storm water runoff and look good doing it!

When it comes time to replace that old driveway, consider using these permeable pavers. They look just as good as normal pavers, but they have gaps to allow water to filter through. When properly installed, this substantially reduces water runoff and storm water pollution.

I used a professional company for the driveway (due to size), but our backyard patio was an easy-enough Do It Yourself project.

Permeable pavers cost slightly more than normal pavers... and of course cost a lot more than asphalt or poured concrete... but if you've already decided that you want the "brick" look in your driveway, this is a great way to get that look and save water runoff.

PS -- In many communities that limit "nonpermeable" surface area for construction, permeable pavers count as permeable area. As always, check with your local building authorities.
