Description: Farmers market every Sunday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. year-round.
Holiday Celebrations at the Market begins November 24th with a food drive, carolers, tree lighting and crafts for kids. Having lived in Seattle for 20 years, Pike Place Public Market was my favorite destination to enjoy the pulse of life during the holidays, and search out produce, food products, gifts and wares of every kind.
Stepping into the market this past weekend, was a seamless transition back into any market day I can remember...the crush of people, the salty organic smells and aromas of seafood and fresh baked breads, the many vendor's faces and voices calling out into the crowd... interwoven with the haunting notes of the Andean wooden flute, blues guitar riffs coming from under the stairs, and the corner pianist's cross-cultural infusion rippling up and down his keyboard. During the holidays, there is much good will toward all at the Pike Place Market.
