Description: Portland's First Sustainable/Greenest Fashion Week showcasing Eco-Responsible Fashion.
Eco-dressed and looking for a sustainable place to go? Portland is the place. In 2006, Portland was honored as “The Country’s #1 Sustainable City” at a Mayor's Conference. Now, this month, October 19-24, Portland Fashion Week in collaboration with Portland's City Hall, will host Portland's First Sustainable Fashion Show and Green Fashion Forum showcasing Spring/Summer 2008 Collections. Launching the collections of several eco-designers, eco-styled models will float, saunter and sass their sustainable fashions along an earthfriendly catwalk. Sustainable hotels will be the cat's meow for eco-out-of-towners. How green? Can't really tell. Price tag? $20-$190/day, $80-$760/week.
Perhaps the eco-fashion designers can tell us what shade of green this PFW eco-extravaganza is going to be: Apple, Asparagus, British Racing, Camouflage, Celadon, Chartreuse, Emerald, Fern, Forest, Hunter, Jade, Jungle, Kelly, Lime, Moss, Olive, Pear, Pine, Office, Sea, or is it truly Sustainable Green?
