Comments on Sonia's review of Power Plumber
Unplugs drains with pressurized air
Enzymes are the truly "eco-friendly" method for plugged drains, but...I never remember to put enzymes down my drains once a month.
The Power Plumber is just a can of compressed air. To use it, you fill up your tub or sink with water, and then give the drain a short burst of the compressed air, which then pushes the hair/grease clog out of the drain.
I used it on my bathroom tub (which was totally clogged) and bathroom sink (which was partly clogged), and it worked instantly. Plus, it was great to know I hadn't just poured poison down the drain.
I have used it a total of 4 times, and it still has leftover air (the product label says it is good for 15 applications).
I don't know what kind of gas is contained in the Power Plumber can; the product information says "It contains no harsh chemicals, acids, or lye. It is non-polluting and will not contaminate ground water. Even the can is recycleable!" I got that information from the following website: www.jelmar.com/CLRproducts.asp
