Rain barrels save water
I have been using a rain barrel for more than 10 years. Place it under a downspout and collect rainwater to use later for the garden, lawn, home compost bin, or car washing. It's simple and saves money and resources. And, it's made from a reused barrel.

This is an awesome idea -- how many rain barrels do you use at your house?
In the Bay Area, we don't have rain for 6 months of the year so we would end up storing a lot of empty barrels or filling up a lot of barrels to empty out onto lawns and gardens.
