Comments on Eliza's review of Rice Crust Cheese Pizza
Barely Pizza
Amy's products are usually good, but this gluten-free pizza is not.
There's so little here that it's hard to criticize. The crust is thick and crumbly, which is how it goes with a gluten-free bread. I can't comment on the sauce, because there isn't any. The top of the crust is stained a vague tomato red and you'll pick up a hint of herb. That and a very meager sprinkling of tasteless cheese and you have it. If I hadn't taken it out of the box myself, I would have thought this was really bad airline food.
If you need to eat gluten-free and feel like a pizza, find a tested recipe for a good crust, grab some brown rice flour and some decent cheese, and in less than an hour you'll be taking something out of the oven that will make you think pizza.
