Comments on Joy's review of Rosemary Body Oil
Peanut oil at an outrageous price!
I tried this oil w/o a thorough read of the ingredients beforehand. After paying almost $27/ounce I realized it contained nothing but peanut oil with a touch of rosemary essential oil. There are many other much more beneficial carrier oils that could have been used, and the benefits of peanut oil are nil compared to those of say Sweet Almond or Jojoba. Peanut oil may be purchased for $19/gallon at Wal-Mart. Never again will I buy w/o reading the label first first; just because it's natural doesn't mean its it's helpful to your skin - or that you're not being ripped off financially!

You're right that you should always read labels. But you're wrong about peanut oil. Peanut oil is probably one of the most skin-friendly, nutritious oils for the skin. Dr. Hauschka uses organic and bio-dynamic growing practices that results in a product with incredible activity and vitality. They also take the time to remove the protein in the oil that could cause very serious allergic reactions in people who are allergic to peanuts. THERE IS SIMPLY NO COMPARISON OF QUALITY OF DR. HAUSCHKA'S PRODUCT WITH PEANUT OIL PURCHASED FROM WAL-MART.
