Getting Off the Beaten Path with Sahalie

The Late Fall '07 Catalog (printed on recycled), asks the question "Whaddaya want?" From among their outdoor wear, fitness and travel related apparel and gear, what DID I want? A little bit of everything comfy and casual would be very nice, thank you! However, I had a great time doing some gift shopping, and "Joie de vivre!" - I bought myself a Polartec fleece beret and a pair of Baffin Cush Booties (house slippers) for the cool days ahead.

I had never heard of them before, even though they've been in business for 35 years. Sahalie is a part of the Norm Thompson Outfitters network of brands.Their company is headquartered in one of Portland's first green buildings, constructed in 1995. They are involved in a wetland restoration project next to their offices, and they are fully committed to sustainability, the ongoing greening of their operation, even rewarding employees for carpooling or owning a hybrid car, or use of a Flexcar for those using mass transit. Kudos to Sahalie!

Sahalie offers their customers a Sahalie Rewards program with automatic and cash back rewards. They have a Travel Center with travel packages here and abroad, discounts on hotels and resorts, airfares and car rentals, member discounts on documentary films and tickets for movies, shows, concerts and museums, dining gift cards, savings on wines and Green Mountain coffee, and Terrapass to help fund clean energy and energy-saving projects.
