Silent Spring
Description: Definitive book on modern environmentalism.
Changed my life
It was a pivotal moment in my life, in the summer of 2003, when this book found me, completely unaware of the importance of the words within and how they would impact my life. Immediately absorbed into the details, data, and deaths, I never would look at the world the same way again. I changed my eating habits, buying habits, lifestyle and so forth, committed to organics, and living as non-toxic as possible. The world is full of the toxic, poisonous, polluting remains of our industrial revolution, which unfortunately don't make headlines until something drastic happens. Today we have lead in toys, salmonella in processed foods, and carcinogenic cosmetics, all of which does not shock me - why? READ THIS BOOK. I cannot emphasize enough how important this book is, how it will change your perspective, and how changing your life, in very simple ways will help make this planet a safer, healthier and non-toxic environment to support our fragile ecosystems. Rachel was a pioneer and is also heroine to me!
