You know what I mean - a stress snack is something you want to gnaw on or crunch when you're working under a deadline -- something with more flavor and less resistance than your pencil (ouch! was that the metal eraser band?).
I first tried Soy Jerky at Green Festival in 2006 -- I approached with trepidation, but found that they actually taste pretty good. There is a wide variety of flavors, and the jerky does tend to be on the more tough/hard scale (as opposed to the weird texture of say a Slim Jim).
Their packaging leaves a bit to be desired though -- it's just a solid mass of vacuum sealed plastic and I know there must be a better way.
Just be careful to not overdo it with the soy -- and snack away.
