My first dining experience with Split Pea Seduction was mostly hits, and only one miss. It's a great new green (super green as in local, organic, seasonal) lunch spot.
Hit: Big portions
Hit: Puff pastry. The main item served, the crostata, is made with puff pastry topped with savory and sweet toppings like strawberries, wild mushrooms, and salt pork. Puff pastry = buttery bready goodness.
Hit: Compostable packages, and flatware
Hit: Reasonable prices
Hit: General deliciousness. My strawberry salad with hazelnuts and cheese was color balanced and yummy. My co-worker's leek and wild mushroom crostata was perfect too.
Miss: My sardine crostata with marinara reached a fruity peakedness that I was none too fond of. I made a bit of the tart face when I ate it.
I will be back to try everything.
