Description: Used household items and building materials for purchase and exchange.
I went to this place after two years of dreaming about it. On visiting Urban Ore, you step back in time really. It's like playing one of those 2D Japanese video games like ChronoTrigger where you sift through the... um, crap that gets piled when lots of people live in one area for a few generations. Stuff like really, really old books, political campaign buttons, toilets and bathtubs, the odd bicycle frame, metal kitchen appliances, movie theater line barriers (what are they called?), random stuff, nice old tables... but you have to visit often or other smart people will pick out all the good items. I walked out empty-handed, but emotionally satisfied. I will be back! It's basically vintage craigslist--a ginormous garage sale--and only somewhat more dust-covered.
