The best of the alternative media
Utne - I've subscribed to you for wow, now almost 12 years! I discovered you in college and that was even before I think I identified as 'green'. I have an old issue in front of me from 1998 - yes I need to clean out my piles! But I find these magazines, more than a magazine but an amazing collection of writing, stories and articles on so many topics near and dear to my heart. I have learned and been enlightened, I have been moved and motivated, saddened yet given hope. I think that's what Utne does, ultimately it gives us hope for the future. If you cannot afford to buy a dozen magazines every month, but you are so curious to know what they all contain, here grab an Utne and dive in. You won't regret it - heck if you want my old issues...I'll happily pass them on.
