Agreed: Fiji Water is UNsustainable
Maybe it should appear in The Unsustainables!! By the way, I read that Aquafina is Philadelphia tap water, and Dasani is Bronx tap water. (or vice-versa) Why not skip the expensive, plastic-tasting water and tote around your own tap water? Tastes fine to me! I don't understand why anyone would pay unreasonable fees just to drink this essential fluid. I never buy Costco bottled water--lame! I really dislike how water fountains are disappearing from public spaces, too. For example, Union City BART station.
There's a good article in the 2007 Green issue of Vanity Fair on the topic of privatized water and the French conglomerate Veolia. Elsewhere, I read that the US is very interested in Central American countries as fresh water sources. (odd?)
Positive action: buy a Klean Kanteen or better yet, a SIGG bottle. pour in your filtered tap nectar.
