Buy a bike, donate a bike, help developing countries
All of WBC's operations are funded through the sale of bicycles at their store. A project of the Resource Center, the WBC take donated bikes - old, rusted, or broken and repairs them, recycling parts along the way. These repaired bikes are then either sold locally, at a discount, or shipped to Ghana, Ecuador, or Cuba, for example. In these countries, a bike can make the difference in employment for most people. A bike can save someone time and transportation costs. These bikes have a huge impact, where the cost savings is then reinvested in the local economies. Last year over 5,000 bikes were distributed.
