Our Beautiful ZENN !!

Since taking delivery of our new ZENN on Dec 15, 07, we've now done over 900 miles in typical day to day driving doing the usual items - to work, to the markets, taking the kids to school, hitting the cafe' for our coffee rush. It has performed faultlessly, is terribly fun, turns heads and gets people talking and thinking about the future of the family automobile. One does not mow their lawn with a combine, yet that it what most folks drive as their family car. Our ZENN is the right tool for the right job. Costs? 900 miles has cost us US$9. We sold our 'ultimate driving machine' BMW for our ZENN and frankly - our ZENN is the better car. Scoff if you like, but when gas hits $5-6 a gallon, your ICE (internal combustion engined) car will make a nice big paperweight whereas we'll be singing along with the CD and listening to the birds! ZENN = Enlightened Mobility ! Get one!

Well, a few points to really clarify.... according to the US Dept of Energy, the average driver in the USA does less than 22 miles per day. Most folks could use a ZENN daily and then use a Flex-car to hit the beach or the mountains once in awhile - and Flex-car have hybrids too! Be careful on the Canada car comments - check a new car window sticker to see where the point-of-origin is for many of the components contained in that car and you'll find that many engines, gearboxes etc are manufactured in Canada. The world is full of cars NOT made in Detroit. One more tidbit - the cost to operate our ZENN for a year is going to run $70 whereas our BMW was running over $2000 per year. Frankly I'd rather give a little bit of hard earned cash to an electric utility company here in Oregon rather than thousands to the boys at Exxon and Chevron - I mean really, 60 billion dollars in profits is something I'd rather not support. Thank you ZENN Corp. for making that a reality for us. Oh yeah, the electricity for our ZENN comes from wind, geothermal and hydro - NOT coal. (yes you can chose.
