I'm sure everyone at Green Drinks knows how important a problem this is to tackle, but do you know all the ways you can individually make a difference? Do you have friends who you haven't been able to move to take action? Do you want to help educate and inspire the public by helping out? Then come to "It's Your World" San Francisco. We'll focus on the most relevant questions people have about global warming: - I've heard a debate about "Scientific Consensus", what are the facts? - What are the impacts on human life in the next 100 years? - I'm not going to sell my car – can I still make a difference? - What is the easiest way to reduce my footprint? We'll have partner organizations such as PG&E and CarbonFund there to give you the answers, and to provide opportunities to make a difference right there at the event. We'll also have laptops set up so people can calculate their carbon footprint and make a donation to offset it or support various green partners.
Its Saturday, October 3rd from 1-4pm at the Green Zebra Environmental Action Center in the Crocker Galleria (Near the Sutter St. entrance). Stay all day, or just drop by! And we can definitely use volunteers! Right now, we're looking for everything from just helping set up chairs and watching the laptops to organizing the media effort and broadening our partnerships.
