Long Beach Green Business Association presents the first annual Green 5K race and Expo.
Running Out of Time 5K is a benefit run to raise support for "Green" youth programs in Long Beach. The programs; Solar and Wind Energy camps, Green Teen Entrepreneur Camps and youth run organic gardens are designed to help kids consider green careers and to prepare them for a future of sustainable living. The camps are not only education but lots of fun and help to fill the gap where many state funded youth programs have been cut from the budget.
The 5K race will be held in beautiful El Dorado Park and will feature a Green Expo with over 40 green exhibitors. The race promises to attract approximately 1500 runners and many more who will stop buy just for the expo.
