Description
The successful candidate will produce economic analysis of mid- to long-term wind and solar development and acquisition opportunities in North America.
Responsibilities
• Support business development and acquisition groups in analyzing investment opportunities.
• Interact with internal colleagues and external consultants to develop the necessary assumptions to value investments and analyze potential risk factors.
• Build and maintain project screening models as well as robust economic models to be presented to prospective lenders and investors.
• Help develop energy and environmental attribute pricing structures and risk analysis.
• Provide support during due diligence of acquisition opportunities and negotiation of acquisition agreements.
• Prepare presentations of economic analysis of project investment opportunities for senior management.
• Work with outside parties to evaluate and/or develop long term forward electricity, natural gas and environmental attributes price models.
• Support tax investor and debt financing efforts for wind and solar projects.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• 2 + years experience in the energy industry creating and managing economic models used to analyze project investments and/or acquisitions.
• Knowledge of renewable energy markets in North America.
• Proven experience in problem solving, analytical skills and manipulation of large sets of data.
• Strong quantitative skills and ability to comprehend and analyze technical information.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with proven ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Working knowledge of Windows based business software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
