Description
The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests seeks a well-organized, detail-oriented, and motivated individual for the position of Land Protection Assistant & Database Manager. The successful candidate will have real estate or paralegal experience, experience with Microsoft Access, and a commitment to land conservation.
Responsibilities
This is a full-time permanent position, based at the Conservation Center in Concord, NH, an award-winning, energy efficient office overlooking the adjacent Merrimack River. This person is primarily responsible for supporting the staff in the Land Protection Department in their completion of real estate transactions, and for managing the Department’s Access-based database for the organization’s lands and conservation easements. The position requires independence as well as team work. Founded in 1901, the Forest Society is a statewide land conservation and forestry organization, and has been recognized nationally for its leadership in related issues.
With more than 9,000 member households and about 35 employees, the Forest Society owns and manages more than 160 reservations totaling about 45,000 acres, and holds more than 700 conservation easements or similar interests on more than 110,000 acres.
