Position Overview:
BTU has an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join its growing Solar Applications Lab. The Process Engineer will be responsible for carrying out experiments and producing test results of state-of-the-art processes for solar applications using BTU thermal equipment. He/She will perform applications tests and experiments to support marketing, sales and engineering. In addition, they will participate in customer demonstrations, trade shows, and industry organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Optimization and characterization of existing solar processes including diffusion and metallization.
- Assist in development of new processes.
- Participate in customer demonstrations.
- Ensure that the BTU Application Laboratory & equipment is maintained.
- Support the writing and publication of technical articles.
- Participate in trade shows as required
Qualifications:
Skills and abilities needed for this position:
- 5-10 years exp. in process development, preferably for solar, semiconductor, or display applications
- Demonstrated use of experimental design and statistical methods
- Experience with chemical laboratory procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Thick film or thin film process experience desirable.
- Education and training: BS Degree in chemical Engineering, chemistry, materials science, or equivalent. Master's level preferred
