ACRT Inc. is currently seeking energetic experienced professionals who enjoy working outdoors. This field position is ideal for seasoned professionals with experience in this line of work. Candidates will need to live within the Sierra Division to be considered and will work within North Bay, North Coast, and North Valley areas.
Education/ Experience Requirements:
- A CUF shall have at least 3 years experience in California regulated line clearance tree trimming work or equivalent experience as determined by the PG&E Representative.
- The CUF shall exhibit the ability to work independently and shall have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- It is highly desired that a CUF have an AA Degree in forestry, arboriculture or a related field.
- A CUF is required to become a Certified Arborist within 1-year and is preferably currently a Certified Arborist or Registered Professional Forester.
- At start of work under this Contract, the CUF shall be fluent with the Contractor's work practices, proper arboricultural techniques and practices, proper integrated pest management practices, PG&E's VMDB and handheld computer, PG&E's Tree Trimming Specification, Pre-Inspection Specification and requirements, and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Basic Responsibilities:
- Patrolling distribution circuits and prescribing work to be performed by PG&E’s TT contractor
- Notifying and educating property owners of tree trimming and tree/brush removal work to be performed relating to this Specification
- Mapping circuits using PG&E continuity list, managing Help tickets
- Performing outage investigations and, when necessary, obtaining permits from public agencies, and documenting Work in the VMDB using a hand-held computer
- Utilize computers and associated software, enter data into and process data from hand-held computers
- As requested by the SCUF, the CUF shall perform all necessary duties for emergency response in accordance with all safety requirements, laws and regulations, and applicable labor agreements
- The CUF shall maintain direct contact with local PG&E VM division personnel, public agencies, and customers as directed by the PG&E Representative.
- The CUF shall maintain a positive working relationship with TT contractor in the CUF's assigned area and be responsible for timely resolution of customer complaints.
- The CUF may be required to participate in public presentations and meetings.
- The CUF shall perform other Work as directed by the SCUF.
