Position Overview:

We have a rare opportunity for an energetic and talented Sales/Operations Assistant to provide administrative support to management and sales staff. This is a hands-on, strategic opportunity for a conscientious team-player with a commitment to success and quality. Responsibilities:

Primary activities include:

  • Assist in working with customers in sales order entry, bid/quote generation, freight quotes and customer service including processing and fulfillment of client orders.
  • Maintain databases of client data and activity. Conduct product/customer/competitor research.
  • Perform administrative functions, including filing, mail, message taking and ensuring general follow-up with key activities.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence and marketing materials.
  • Coordinate meetings, training programs, trade shows and other events.
  • Communicate with staff and management as appropriate concerning client, vendor or product issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence for management.
  • Support management and sales staff in assigned projects.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Ability and willingness to work in a tight team environment and take on new roles as needed
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills
  • Good Technical Aptitude
  • Extensive Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Access
  • Ability to develop professional correspondence and basic e-advertising campaigns
  • Experience in an office related to construction activities is helpful but not required
