Psomas is a civil engineering, land surveying and construction management firm with offices located throughout California, Arizona and Utah. Our Natural Resources group is looking for talented Biologists for our California offices. Psomas is ranked by ENR magazine as one of the top 100 pure design firms and #63 of the top 100 Green Design Firms in the US.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking qualified individuals for either Staff or Senior Biologist. Responsibilities will include one or more of the following:
- Conducting biological field surveys
- Biological monitoring
- Report writing
- Resource agency consultation
- Wetland delineation and permitting.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Botany, Field Ecology, Wildlife, or related biology field. Master's Degree or higher, and/or holding of federal or state permits for specialized surveys is a plus. Additional skills will require excellent oral and written communications and knowledge of GPS/GIS, Southern California Plant Communities and/or Wildlife Species, federal and state Endangered Species Acts, Section 1602 of the state Fish and Game Code and basic NEPA and CEQA skills.
