San Francisco is glad you’re here! Each challenge you complete is a small step for San Francisco… and a giant leap for the planet. Take a picture of yourself completing the challenge below. Upload the photo here, and you’ll be entered into this week’s drawing. Then come right back and do it again.

Instructions:

Replacing all conventional light bulbs in your home with compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs) is the easiest and most effective way to reduce your home energy usage and save you money. Visit your local hardware store this weekend to purchase low cost CFLs. 10 incandescent bulbs with CFL’s and prevent over 1300 pounds of CO2 emissions over one year.

The last of my incandescents finally burned out, so I took the opportunity to go to Cliff's Variety Hardware Store and picked up a pack of CFLs.

Cool. I did this for my parents' house a year ago and was surprised by how many bulbs I needed to change: over 20.
