Seventh Generation
Well I honestly can't say that we loved the Seventh Generation paper towels... in fact, due to our displeasure - we've now moved onto reusing cloth rags and towels and just avoiding paper towels altogether. Although I agree with the mission and message of the company, the product just seems too thick, too hard. The color is not pretty and looks too industrial sitting on our counter, not to mention the price seems substantially higher than other brands.

CFL Light Bulb
I could no longer ignore the claims that CFL Light Bulbs would save energy as well as last much, much longer so we went ahead and purchased our first bulb on Earth Day this year at Home Depot. This 23 watt spiral bulb uses 75% less energy than a comparable 100 watt incandescent and lasts an average of 13 times longer. The bulb cost $7.99 compared to less than $1.00 for an incandescent bulb but the package states it will save us $308 in electricity cost over the life of bulb. The actual lighting does give the same appearance as an incandescent bulb. So far, we've been very pleased and are planning to convert all 50+ bulbs in our home over to CFLs this year.
