Review of Planet Organics

5 star rating Review of Planet Organics March 16, 2009 | Posted in Farmers Markets & CSAs

Best thing to happen since sliced bread... Planet Organics is awesome! I love that you can order online and take things out that you don't like (cilantro, for example). Plus, they always tell you where the food comes from and have recipe ideas for each ingredient. (What does one do with a burdock root?) Their meat and groceries are a little...

Review of Organic Bouquet

4 star rating Review of Organic Bouquet December 4, 2008 | Posted in Candles, Gifts & Flowers

Organic Bouquet My boyfriend always orders me roses for Valentine's Day, anniversaries, etc. The thing is, I usually think they are a waste of money because flowers usually look totally dead by day two. The red roses he sends me from Organic Bouqet usually last about a week, and smell amazing! Co-workers told me...

Review of Le Creuset

5 star rating Review of Le Creuset August 14, 2008 | Posted in Home and Garden

Worth It's Weight in Gold Okay, so they are a little pricey (thanks, Mom!). BUT I think of it as an investment, my mother has been using the same set for forty years. They are beautifully crafted, conduct heat evenly, can go in the oven, and come in a variety of colors! I use mine for just about everything - from pasta to...

Review of farmerbrown

3 star rating Review of farmerbrown 3 comments | June 30, 2008 | Posted in San Francisco, Restaurants

I'd go back for happy hour & pie Coming from the South, I have very high expectations when it comes to soul food, and this didn't score so high compared to other Southern food I've had (with names like "the pit" and "the catfish shack"). It did, however, do several things really well. The best food of the night was the pecan pie...

Review of Flip & Tumble Bag by Flip & Tumble

5 star rating Review of Flip & Tumble Bag June 30, 2008 | Posted in Jewelry & Accessories

Flip n AWESOME I am obsessed with these awesome ball bags. I have a huge problem with reusable bags because I don't want to take two or three reusable shopping bags with me on the bus in the morning in addition to all of the other stuff I carry around on a daily basis, so I usually end up getting paper bags during...

Review of CFL Light Bulbs by n:vision

2 star rating Review of CFL Light Bulbs 1 comment | May 27, 2008 | Posted in Electronics & Appliances

Let there be light We have a bunch of these in our apartment and I have to say, the only perk is that they make the electric bill less. They give off a crazy grey glow that makes me feel crazy. Seriously, there has to be something better than these.

Review of Fage Total by Fage

5 star rating Review of Fage Total May 27, 2008 | Posted in Food & Grocery

Fage Yay! I could (and sometimes do) eat fage yogurt by the gallon. Great for breakfast with fruit, marinating meats, making yogurt dips, and instead of ice cream. I like the zero kind, because it has a ton of protein and is low in cals, and has no fat. I don't know how organic it is though.

Review of Naked Cutlets by Quorn Foods, Inc

3 star rating Review of Naked Cutlets May 15, 2008 | Posted in Food & Grocery

Very Versitile They have the texture of Gafeltafish (sp?). But pretty decent in stir fry. Not my first choice, but would due in a pinch.

Review of B Restaurant & Bar

3 star rating Review of B Restaurant & Bar 2 comments | April 14, 2008 | Posted in San Francisco, Restaurants

They call it B Bar, not A+ Bar, and that's about right. I LOVED B Bar's location - in Yerba Buena Gardens, next to Samovar Tea Lounge - it overlooked the whole city, and I went on a beautiful, sunny Friday afternoon. The happy hour drinks were $5.00 each, which I consider a steal anywhere outside of the mission. I had a ginger/gin cocktail, which was...

Review of Flip Flop Doormat by Uncommon Goods

4 star rating Review of Flip Flop Doormat April 4, 2008 | Posted in Furniture

Flippin' Cool This is a great door mat - I walk in the park a lot, and its great at getting all of the debri off of my shoes. However, it is crazy bright, so its great for kids rooms (or if you live with an adult that acts like a kid). I also like that, because it is made from recycled flip flops, each one is...
