Review of Luna Park

Goat Cheese Fondue- Enough Said

Luna Park is one of those places I always walk by and think, "how cute, I wonder what they serve there?" Well, I finally ventured in and was delighted with the result. We had the goat cheese fondue for an appetizer, it was delicious and unlike anything I had tried before. Everything we tried was delicious, especially the butternut squash and brussels sprouts. They use sustainable, local produce and fish whenever possible, and it pays off in the flavor of the food. It must be a strong building too, because the earthquake that happened while we were in there was not noticed by us or anyone in the restaurant.

Too juicy, too greasy.

I am still on my quest for the perfect organic/paraben free facial moisturizer with SPF 15 or higher. My latest product trial was this lotion from Avalon Organics. While I generally like their products, this lotion did not impress me. First, it smells like orange juice, and I don't like my face to smell like anything but a face! Second, it separates in the bottle and comes out a little oily around the edges. Third, it makes my usually dry skin feel oily all day long. I have stopped using it and am on to the next product in my search...I wouldn't recommend this lotion unless you have very very dry skin, as it will make you oily.

Deceptively Low Fat Yogurt

This organic yogurt is one of the best I have tried. The consistency is thick, more like a whole milk yogurt, but with less fat. The vanilla bean flavor is strong, but its not too sweet. If you like your yogurt creamy AND healthy, this is for you. Its a great base for granola and makes a very satisfying breakfast or afternoon snack!

The best granola I haven't made myself.

This granola is spectacular! It is crunchy and flavorful, the cranberries are zingy and add the perfect touch. It is lower in fat than most granola and tastes just as good, if not better! I have been eating it with yogurt, with milk or just plain out of the bag and I can't get enough! The ingredients are simple- no hydrogenated oils or corn syrup, just oats, honey and canola oil.
Yum!

Delicious!

This sparkling lemonade is wonderful. It is local, organic and just sweet enough while still being refreshing on this oddly warm San Francisco afternoon. I will definitely try this again when I am in the mood for juice!

Really yummy!

This spritzer is very apricot and mango-y! Its a great drink overall, but a bit sweet for my taste. It is organic though, and it doesn't taste fake like many fruit juices can. I want to try out the other flavors, too!

Great idea, better used as a mixer though.

I have had this drink a few times and while I like the concept, the execution is a bit off target. I love mint, I love lime, so I should love this. I do like it enough, but I prefer it mixed with sparkling water (to lessen the intensity) or with some rum or vodka as a mixer. Drinking it straight is a bit overwhelming.

Don't let the package fool you!

These peppery pretzels are yummy, if not at all hot. The package says they are hot, has flames and devil horns on it, but rest assured they are not. They have a great flavor because the pepper is baked into the pretzels themselves and, of course, they have a great ingredients list!

Not my favorite soy ice cream.

Soy Dream has definitely improved over the years, and they use organic soybeans, which is awesome. The flavor, however, is not up to par with some other soy cream manufacturers. It does not taste as good as So Delicious brand, but has twice the fat content! Good in a pinch, but not the best.

Review of Ice Cream

Too good for my own good.

Yum! This ice cream is so creamy, smooth and flavorful. The vanilla was perfect with peach and cherry pie and a wonderful summer afternoon treat. Local and organic, too? Yay!
