Review of Luna Park

5 star rating Review of Luna Park November 6, 2007 | Posted in San Francisco, Restaurants

Goat Cheese Fondue- Enough Said Luna Park is one of those places I always walk by and think, "how cute, I wonder what they serve there?" Well, I finally ventured in and was delighted with the result. We had the goat cheese fondue for an appetizer, it was delicious and unlike anything I had tried before. Everything we tried was...

Review of Vitamin C Moisture Plus Lotion SPF 15 by Avalon Organics

2 star rating Review of Vitamin C Moisture Plus Lotion SPF 15 October 26, 2007 | Posted in Skin & Body Care

Too juicy, too greasy. I am still on my quest for the perfect organic/paraben free facial moisturizer with SPF 15 or higher. My latest product trial was this lotion from Avalon Organics. While I generally like their products, this lotion did not impress me. First, it smells like orange juice, and I don't like my face...

Review of Yogurt Vanilla-Bean, LowFat by Clover Stornetta Farms

5 star rating Review of Yogurt Vanilla-Bean, LowFat October 26, 2007 | Posted in Food & Grocery

Deceptively Low Fat Yogurt This organic yogurt is one of the best I have tried. The consistency is thick, more like a whole milk yogurt, but with less fat. The vanilla bean flavor is strong, but its not too sweet. If you like your yogurt creamy AND healthy, this is for you. Its a great base for granola and makes a very...

Review of Natural Artisan Granola: Cranberry by Udi's

5 star rating Review of Natural Artisan Granola: Cranberry October 24, 2007 | Posted in Food & Grocery

The best granola I haven't made myself. This granola is spectacular! It is crunchy and flavorful, the cranberries are zingy and add the perfect touch. It is lower in fat than most granola and tastes just as good, if not better! I have been eating it with yogurt, with milk or just plain out of the bag and I can't get enough! The...

Review of Sparkling Lemonade by Santa Cruz Juices

5 star rating Review of Sparkling Lemonade August 30, 2007 | Posted in Tasty Drinks

Delicious! This sparkling lemonade is wonderful. It is local, organic and just sweet enough while still being refreshing on this oddly warm San Francisco afternoon. I will definitely try this again when I am in the mood for juice!

Review of Organic Italian Spritzer: Apricot-Mango by 365 Organic Everyday Value

4 star rating Review of Organic Italian Spritzer: Apricot-Mango August 30, 2007 | Posted in Tasty Drinks

Really yummy! This spritzer is very apricot and mango-y! Its a great drink overall, but a bit sweet for my taste. It is organic though, and it doesn't taste fake like many fruit juices can. I want to try out the other flavors, too!

Review of Mojita by Adina

3 star rating Review of Mojita August 30, 2007 | Posted in Tasty Drinks

Great idea, better used as a mixer though. I have had this drink a few times and while I like the concept, the execution is a bit off target. I love mint, I love lime, so I should love this. I do like it enough, but I prefer it mixed with sparkling water (to lessen the intensity) or with some rum or vodka as a mixer. Drinking it straight...

Review of Salt & Pepper Thin Pretzels by Newman's Own Organics

4 star rating Review of Salt & Pepper Thin Pretzels August 30, 2007 | Posted in Food & Grocery

Don't let the package fool you! These peppery pretzels are yummy, if not at all hot. The package says they are hot, has flames and devil horns on it, but rest assured they are not. They have a great flavor because the pepper is baked into the pretzels themselves and, of course, they have a great ingredients list!

Review of French Vanilla Non-Dairy Dessert by Soy Dream

3 star rating Review of French Vanilla Non-Dairy Dessert August 23, 2007 | Posted in Food & Grocery

Not my favorite soy ice cream. Soy Dream has definitely improved over the years, and they use organic soybeans, which is awesome. The flavor, however, is not up to par with some other soy cream manufacturers. It does not taste as good as So Delicious brand, but has twice the fat content! Good in a pinch, but not the best.

Review of Ice Cream by Straus Family Creamery

5 star rating Review of Ice Cream August 23, 2007 | Posted in Food & Grocery

Too good for my own good. Yum! This ice cream is so creamy, smooth and flavorful. The vanilla was perfect with peach and cherry pie and a wonderful summer afternoon treat. Local and organic, too? Yay!
