I don't think our toilet was this clean when we first moved in to our apartment. I personally have scrubbed and scrubbed with a brush and been unable to remove the mineral stains.

A: It depends on what kind of plastic we are attempting to recycle. Curbside recyclers must find markets for the materials they collect. That recycling symbol on the bottom does not necessarily mean the item can be recycled in your area.

A: It may be that no plastics are safe. We just don't have enough information about what's in them to know for sure. And manufacturers don’t readily give out this “proprietary” information. We do know this: Most plastics can leach chemicals if subjected to heat, light, or rough treatment.
