I don't think our toilet was this clean when we first moved in to our apartment. I personally have scrubbed and scrubbed with a brush and been unable to remove the mineral stains.

A: It depends on what kind of plastic we are attempting to recycle. Curbside recyclers must find markets for the materials they collect. That recycling symbol on the bottom does not necessarily mean the item can be recycled in your area.

I gave up paper towels when I first went plastic-free since all brands come wrapped in plastic. Later, I realized how wasteful the whole idea of paper towels is in the first place...

A: It may be that no plastics are safe. We just don't have enough information about what's in them to know for sure. And manufacturers don’t readily give out this “proprietary” information. We do know this: Most plastics can leach chemicals if subjected to heat, light, or rough treatment.

This To-Go Ware tiffin was just what the doctor ordered! I was sick as a dog all weekend. Coughing. Sneezing. Stuffy head. Dizzy. I needed hot and sour soup, and I needed it fast! Michael was happy to go pick some up for me. The problem? Our local Chinese restaurants serve take-out soup in plastic containers. Not to worry! Our To-Go Ware tiffin...

It's all about Extended Producer Responsibility The original Brita company in Germany has had a take-back recycling program in place for its filter cartridges since 1992. Currently, there are collection bins placed in stores where Brita is sold. Customers return their used filters to the store, from which they are shipped to Brita for COMPLETE...
