I LOVE THIS DISH SOAP!!

I originally bought Method because it's earth friendly. I am SO glad I did. This stuff is awesome!! It's very sudsy and cleans like a dream, even on the nastiest pots and pans. The smell is wonderful and fills up my whole kitchen with fragrance. I used to burn a candle while I did the dishes, but I don't need to anymore. I highly recommend this product to everyone I know. I does cost a few cents more than Palmolive, but it is WELL worth it. :)

Review of Dishmate

Cleans well, but you need a lot.

I switched from Palmolive to Dishmate because it's biodegradable. I liked the pear scent and it was on sale. I was disappointed because it took three times as much Dishmate on my sponge to do the same amount of dishes as Palmolive. I also am a sucker for suds, and because Dishmate does not sud, I am unsure if it was still working. I'm going to try a different biodegradable soap and probably won't use Dishmate again.

I LOVE Dishmate dish washing soap. It does not suds as much but that does not mean it doesn't work. Contrary to what people think you DO NOT need suds for it to work. I think it cleans so much better than Dawn and the... more »

Works great, but isn't as good for the environment as everyone thinks.

I LOVE Arm and Hammer Laundry detergent. It gets clothes very clean, and smells great. My husband is a mechanic and it actually gets his greasy clothes very clean. The price is great. Unfortunately, though, it isn't good for the environment. It contains optical brighteners. These are bad for the environment, per the Seventh Generation website states as follows:

"While this [optical brighteners] is generally harmless as far as our laundry is concerned, optical brighteners are less than benign from an environmental perspective. Many of the chemicals in this category are toxic to fish and other aquatic life. Some are also capable of causing mutations in bacteria. Compounding these problems is the fact that optical brighteners are also very slow to biodegrade into their less harmful component parts."

See the website http://www.seventhgen.com/household_hazards/optical_brighteners.php for the entire article the above is from. It's very facinating. That is why I have discontinued the use of Arm and Hammer.
