Review of Larabar - Cherry Pie by Larabar

5 star rating Review of Larabar - Cherry Pie June 4, 2009 | Posted in Food & Grocery

I eat one every day. Delicious!!! I love this bar. Dates, almonds, unsweetened cherries......that is it. One reviewer said it was bitter, I would say "tart" --just as a cherry should taste. It is not super sweet b/c no added sweetner. I buy them by the box and they are a lovely snack.

Review of Natural Long-Lasting Deodorant Stick by Tom's of Maine

5 star rating Review of Natural Long-Lasting Deodorant Stick June 4, 2009 | Posted in Skin & Body Care

Good stuff, and I am very picky about skincare. I used to use the salt rock deodorant b/c I like to keep it simple and my skin is sensitive to many products. It was ok, but only moderately effective.
I picked up the UNSCENTED Tom's Deodorant with hops and so far so good. I find it effective, it doesn't irritate my very sensitive skin. It works...

Review of Organic Bouquet

2 star rating Review of Organic Bouquet 1 comment | February 15, 2009 | Posted in Candles, Gifts & Flowers

A Definate MISS...Not a Hit....Not Worth It I bought from Organic Bouquet because of a positive mention here on SustainLane. I would have been satisfied with the EXTRA COST if the flowers were as great as described, but they were not. They were decent, nice roses, but not worth the $50+ price tag. The box said they were from Ecuador, so the...

MY new Favorite Moisturizer and Dry Skin Balm I am completely biased about this product because I created it and own the company. But, I also know everything there is to know about it......
My new Super Dry Soother is a elegantly simple salve for dry skin. I designed it for Super Dry, rough, winter skin on the hands, feet and whole body. It is...

Review of In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto by Michael Pollan

5 star rating Review of In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto September 11, 2008 | Posted in Food and Drink

A wonderful, perspective shifting book. I love this book and regularly recommend it to patients. I am an acupuncturist and find this book very helpful in clarifying what people should eat. It makes a very clear distinction between food (things our grandparents would recongnize as coming from a plant or animal) and those "manufactured food...
